During the COVID-19 pandemic, cardiovascular health remains a top public health priority. Public health officials are now warning about the relationship between COVID-19 and cardiovascular disease.

Not only have there been more deaths from cardiovascular disease during the pandemic, but people who have serious heart conditions are also at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.1,2

This toolkit includes tools approved by CDC’s Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention that you can use to encourage individuals to continue seeking cardiovascular care at this time.

Public Service Announcements (PSAs)

Million Hearts® and the CDC Foundation have worked with key partners to produce two CDC-approved public service announcements (PSAs) to spotlight the importance of heart health during COVID-19.

  1. Emergency Care Focus: This PSA explains the risks of neglecting emergency medical attention for heart attack or stroke.
  2. Heart Health Focus: This PSA promotes heart health management for those who have experienced a cardiovascular event.
